Here's a little preview of the really cute engagement session I photographed last night at a diner. I love these photos and couldn't wait to post a few from the session for Deanna and Mike to see! I had so much fun with these two. More photos and the slideshow from this session will be up later in the week.
What a week! Thursday night I got back from Las Vegas for my first trip to WPPI, an annual wedding and portrait photography conference and trade show. It was such an amazing four days and I'm so glad I went. I attended great classes, met so many photographers and came home with lots of great ideas. I have stories and photos to share and will be doing a recap later this week.
Not only was it my first time attending WPPI, but it was also my first time in Las Vegas. The convention was held at the MGM Grand, and while I spent most of my trip there, I also made it out of the hotel a few times. On Monday night, I went out on the strip for a fun night shoot with six other photographers and was able to see a bunch of the different hotels and casinos at night. Be on the look out for my WPPI recap as well as some photos from the desert later this week! But for now, here are a couple photos from my night walk on the strip:
Yesterday, I photographed Will's reunion with his wife Van at the Atlanta airport. When Van and I were still in the parking garage, Will called Van to say his flight was an hour early and that he was already in baggage claim area, so we hurried into the airport to go find him. When we got to baggage claim, it was nearly empty. Then Van spotted Will at the other end of baggage claim and started running across the airport towards him. I took this first shot as I was running after her, and I love that you can really tell how fast she was running and how excited she was to finally see her husband:
Here they are holding with the sign Van made to welcome Will...
