Last weekend I headed down to Ashburn, GA to photograph Lori and Matt's wedding at Quails Landing at Little River Plantation with my friend, Mark. The bride, Lori, is also a photographer and anamazing retoucher. Matt and Lori were a fun couple, and we had a great time shooting their wedding.
Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day.
Lori peeked out the window as the guests were assembling for the wedding.
Her beautiful bouquet:
Lori's son walked her down the aisle.
A few portraits of Lori and Matt outside after the ceremony.
The reception was decorated beautifully with candles, rose petals and red details.
The guests blew bubbles as Matt and Lori made their exit from the reception!
It is are now half-way through the voting week, and so far over 600 votes have been cast for the couples in the fun photo contest. Wow! If you are currently trailing behind, there are still four more days to catch up, so anyone can still win.
Here's a little preview of from last weekend's wedding. More to come soon!

For the second installment of my series on wedding details, I will featuring my favorite wedding flower photos from 2008. After looking through lots of photos of the bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages, plus the flowers in the church, on the cake, on the tables and in various other locations at the wedding, it was hard to choose which photos to feature!
Here are some of my favorites:
This series is meant to give some wedding inspiration to brides currently planning their weddings. If you haven't already seen it, make sure you also check out my post on wedding cakes!
For anyone who is thinking about entering, today is the final day to enter the Valentine's Day photo contest. Go out tonight and take a new photo or look through your photos for an old favorite- you might find something you had forgotten all about!
My first thought when I decided to run this contest was to start thinking about what type of fun photo I would have submitted of myself if I could have entered. I was excited, but I hoped it wasn't just the photographer in me that thought this contest would be fun. Happily, it turns out other people do share my love of silly, fun photos, and now that I've seen some of the entries, I am even more excited about this contest!
I have really been enjoying looking through all of the fun and creative entries that have been arriving in my inbox and cannot wait to share them with all of you. The coolest part about this contest is how everyone has been able to show their personalities through their photos.
Click here for the contest details. Check back on Saturday to see all the finalists' crazy photos and to vote on your favorite!
There are so many fun wedding details from the shoes and the tables to the favors and the flowers. I know how much effort couples put into choosing and coordinating all of these little details that make their wedding day unique, so I always want to make sure I document them.
Since this is the time of year when many brides are doing their wedding planning, I am starting a series featuring my favorite wedding details photos from 2008 for those in need of at little wedding inspiration. I decided to start with the most delicious wedding detail first: the cake!
Since the new website launched last month, I figured it was about time to give the blog a new look, too. I love the new header and background, but my favorite part is that the photos will now be bigger.
I always love going out and discovering new places to shoot photo sessions. This afternoon while I was scouting out new locations, I took the opportunity to take some cool photos. It is always great to shoot just for fun- it really gets me thinking creatively. Enjoy!
Also, I just wanted to remind everyone, there is only one week left to enter the Valentine's Day photo contest. I have been enjoying all the entries I have received so far and I can't wait to see what else comes it!
