Thanksgiving, Football and a Sale

I just got back last night after spending the weekend in South Carolina celebrating Thanksgiving with my family. We watched the parade and enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday. Then on Friday we went to the movies to see The Blind Side (and tried to spot my sister in the crowd as an extra). Saturday we went to the Carolina-Clemson football game, celebrated my dad's birthday and I got to see a few friends from college. I had such a great time! Since I took a break from blogging for a few days, here are things I wanted to share from the weekend.

Black Friday Sale Reminder
The Black Friday Print Sale is still going on. Save 25% off any print from your wedding or photo session online gallery. This sale only happens once a year! Sale ends 5:00 PM EST Tuesday, December 1st.

Featured on True Blind Faith Blog
I was excited that Susan of True Blind Faith featured some of my photos on her blog on Friday. Check it out here!

Carolina-Clemson Game
On Saturday my family and I went to the Carolina-Clemson game. It was a great way to end the weekend, especially since the Gamecocks won! My dad's birthday fell on the game day, so my mom made a stadium cake for his birthday cake to bring to our tailgate.

Since it was a noon game, we had a breakfast tailgate starting at 8:00 AM complete with an egg casserole, muffins, mimosas and cake. Here are a few photos of our tailgate and the game (all taken on just my iPhone)...

Photographing Families in Action

Yesterday, I posted a few photos of one of the families we photographed at the family portrait event for Atlanta flood victims, so today I wanted to share some behind the scenes photos taken by Aleeya Hargrove. Each of the families rotated through three photographers at three different locations, and Aleeya was busy documenting the event.

I rarely have any photos of me working since I am usually the one with the camera, so here are a few shots Aleeya got of me in action. See more from the event on her blog!

James, Sianya & Antonio: Family Session

When I heard about the family portrait event that Katrina Wheeler was organizing at her church for flood victims, I volunteered to help photograph the families. Katrina worked really hard to put this event together, and I was happy to be a part of it. We also had PWD Labs generously offer to sponsor the event so we could provide the families with beautiful prints.

Here are a few of my favorite photos of the Short Family. I will be posting some photos of the other families soon!

Greg & Amanda's Wedding: Table Rock, SC | Part 2

Here's the second part of Greg and Amanda's wedding at Table Rock that I shot with Sheryl of Manna Photographic last month. These are a few of my favorite posed portraits of Greg and Amanda and a shots few with their wedding party. Check out Part 1 to see some of my favorites candid photos that capture the story of their day.

The bridesmaids having fun!

They thought it would be funny to get a shot of the girls holding up the groom. It took a few attempts and the girls almost dropping Greg before we got this photo:

Such a fun wedding party!

A few more photos of Greg and Amanda alone with the gorgeous Table Rock behind them.

Holiday Photos: Baby Mackenzie at One Year Old

This was my second session with Baby Mackenzie. I did a photo session with her back in April and she has grown a lot since then. She is now a year old and still completely adorable. This time I also took some photos of the whole family for their Christmas cards.

Isn't Mackenzie's outfit the cutest!?

At her last session, she could barely sit up- she kept falling every time we sat her up. This time she can almost stand, as long as she has someone to help hold her up!

Mackenzie's on the move!

She has the prettiest eyes!

Finally, here are a couple family portraits.
