Lake Lure, NC

This weekend, Mark and I drove up to North Carolina to spend Friday night and Saturday at Lake Lure with Mark's aunt and uncle. After a busy October, it was great to have the entire weekend off to relax. I even left my laptop at home, and I cannot remember the last time I went on a trip without it. I did bring my camera along for the trip, though. All the fall colors in the mountains were beautiful that I couldn't resist taking photos throughout the weekend.


On Saturday afternoon, we took a small hike along a few trails, where I took these next two photos:



On Saturday night we went down by the lake for an oyster roast. I love how the trees were reflecting on the lake.


Below is a shot on the lake as it was getting darker...


I took these last few shots this morning as we were leaving to drive home. I love how blue the sky was this morning!

Brettlin: Warehouse Photo Shoot

Here are a few of my favorite shots of Brettlin from the warehouse shoot at OSPSouth in Macon, GA. I had so much fun photographing all the models and more photos from some of the other models will be coming soon! Also, check out some of the other beautiful models we worked with here and here.

Rosie & Diego: Rainy Engagement Photos

I had so much fun playing in the rain in Piedmont Park with Rosie and Diego for their engagement session. I was so excited and pleasantly surprised when they decided that they didn't want to reschedule their session for a sunny day. It was great to get some really fun and unique photographs of them. I love that they were up for just about anything I asked them to do. By the end of the session, they were muddy, cold and wet, but they never stopped laughing and smiling.

Here are a few of my favorites from their session. Let me tell you, it was really tough to pick out photos for this post. I absolutely love so many of the photos of got of these two and wanted to post them all! Make sure you check out their slideshow at the end and the sneak peek I posted last week for more photos.


I got a few dry shots of them in covered areas before they got wet.

They had so much fun jumping in puddles!




That's right, they even climbed up a tree! I told you they are awesome!

Tanya & Kwesi: Engaged! | Piedmont Park

Tanya and Kwesi are crazy about each other- it is obvious once you've spent a little time with them. Listening to the two of them recount the stories of their first meeting, first date and Kwesi's plans to propose instantly put a smile on my face. When Kwesi decided to ask Tanya to marry him, he carefully waited for just the right moment to propose. They are now excitedly planning a destination wedding in Jamaica for May!

From the moment I picked up my camera these two couldn't stop cracking joke and making each other laugh. Need proof? Here's a look at my first few minutes with Tanya and Kwesi:


I love that the trees were changing and we had some pretty fall colors for the photos.



These two are also complete naturals in front of the camera and often seemed to completely forget I was even there.




I love this one!









I put this next one is just for you, Kwesi! He demonstrated for me the poses he had been practicing for their photo session.
