Spring is Here!
After several days straight of rain and then topping the weekend off by spending most of Sunday stuck inside doing taxes, it feels like forever since I have been outside.
Some new camera gear had arrived in the mail the other day, so I decided to use it as an excuse to finally get outside and away from my desk to test out the new gear. The sun was shining, there were flowers everywhere and the weather was perfect for an afternoon walk. I love the spring!

An Afternoon in Midtown Atlanta
I love the Atlanta weather! A week and a half ago I was excited about the snow and yesterday I was enjoying gorgeous 80 degree sunshine. Once I've seen one nice snowfall for the year, I'm ready for spring to be here, so these past few weeks has seemed like almost perfect weather to me.
My mom was in town visiting me the past two days. I hadn't seen her since my visit just before Christmas so we had fun spending a some time together. We took advantage of the great weather yesterday by walking around Midtown and Piedmont Park, checking out some spots I was scouting out for upcoming shoots and topping the afternoon off with some delicious iced chai lattes.
Here are a couple a photos I took during walking around.

I've Been Tagged!
I just realized I've tagged for a little blog meme by Lynn and Andy from West Park Photography and Leandra Isaac from Grant Isaac Studio. Since I was tagged twice in the same day, I figured I would be a good sport and play along.
Here's how it works:
1. Sit down.
2. Take a picture of yourself right now. don’t primp, just snap one!
3. Upload it.
4. Tag 3 people to do the same.
That’s all!
Now for my lovely photo taken with the webcam on my Macbook.
I am really lucky I found out about this in the afternoon. Normally, I read blogs in the morning while I'm waiting for my coffee to brew, and a photo me before my coffee definitely would not be good!
I have decided to tag the following people: Valerie Schooling from Richard Bell Photography, Melanie Swan from Melanie Swan Photo and Autumn Gibson from Light Scape Photography
Have a great weekend!

Enjoying the Atlanta Snow
Wow! I can't believe it snowed today!
"I bet six years ago you would never have imagine that you would be this happy just to see snow," Mark said to me as we headed out for a walk in the snow. I guess it seemed pretty laughable for a girl from New Jersey to be so excited about seeing snow. But I love a little snow and seeing it snow every once in a while makes me happy. Especially when it's unexpected- like on a March day in Atlanta!
Here are some photos of our adventures in the snow:
Walking around outside, I saw that someone had built a tiny snowman.
Here's a photo of Mark on our second trip out once the snow had started to stick on the ground.
Here's a few photos Mark took of me playing in the snow!
